John Tottenham 2004 - 2005 (Canada)

What were you studying/where were you working?

I was attending the University of Waterloo where I was majoring in communications and doing a minor in speech and conflict studies. I was working at Bush Radio as a result of “Canada World Youth”.

What are you currently doing (Work, studies, etc)?

I am currently living in Calgary Alberta where I work for an Engineering Company called “Worley Parsons” At this company I am a software administrator for engineering tools.

Most memorable experience of Bush Radio

I don't exactly know where to start because there were so many. However, I must say that I loved doing all the beach broadcasts with Victor and Wes. The best part of it was getting involved with the community and getting “knee deep” with Bush Radio and the people of Cape Town.

Most memorable experience of South Africa

This is once again tough because I had so many. I will say that the most memorable was hiking around the cape point peninsula, going to Khayelitsha with my host family to distribute festive day awareness posters, and attending government functions.
